About Anne Frances Ennis’s specimen pages and cross stitch samplers: A collection of six needlework specimens were obtained together from an antique dealer, five being needlework specimen book samples, and one a diminutive bonnet. Three of the needlework samplers have the name Anne Frances Ennis: the oldest one being this colorful sampler with words to live by filling the body of the sampler dated April 1846
